This week the hospitality group behind venues including The Hawk’s Nest and Peckham Arches, Bird House London has opened a new independent pub: The Bush Tavern. Located on Goldhawk Road in Shepherd’s Bush, the establishment will also serve as the permanent home of No Drama, the cult West London burger brand previously based in Acton, aiming to bring together a neighbourhood pub atmosphere with a menu of small-batch beers and comfort food.

The new watering hole occupies a site just off the green and has been redesigned to accommodate up to 120 guests with a mix of upholstered banquettes, high tables and standing areas. Alongside food and drinks, there will be regular events including quizzes, live music and DJ nights, and the team plans to expand in 2026 with the addition of a basement speakeasy cocktail bar. No Drama, led by Brodie Campbell-Park, are operating the kitchen, bringing back their signature burgers alongside new dishes. Notable options on the menu include the No Drama Cheeseburger, the All Day Patty and the vegetarian Crispy Mushroom Sando, and the brunch selection (available Friday to Sunday from noon to 4pm) features plates such as the Bacon, Egg & Cheese and the Scramble Bun.

Behind the bar, the team will serve beers from the Bird House Brewery in Herne Hill, with regular offerings including Tracks IPA (5.6%) and Tivo (4.7% – an Italian-style pilsner), as well as a rotating selection of guest ales and lagers. Classic cocktails such as margaritas and martinis will also be available, made with independent London spirits including El Rayo tequila and Sapling vodka. A curated wine list rounds out the drinks list.

Co-founder of Bird House London, Frazer Timmerman said: “The Bush Tavern blends classic pub culture with our style of contemporary hospitality. We’re excited to be working with local legends No Drama; they’ve built an incredible reputation in West London and this gives them a permanent home right in the heart of the community.”

Opening hours are Monday to Wednesday from 4pm to 10.30pm, Thursday until midnight, and Friday to Sunday from 12pm to midnight. The kitchen closes at 9.30pm daily.
