Galvin La Chapelle launches limited-time Toast & Taste menu to celebrate City AM award and broaden Michelin-starred dining access

Galvin La Chapelle, the Michelin-starred restaurant in Spitalfields, has launched a new five-course menu named Toast & Taste to mark its recent accolade as Best Restaurant at the City AM Toast Awards. Aiming to offer a more accessible Michelin-starred dining experience to a broader audience, the selection is available from 5th January until 24th February. It is priced at £49 per person and includes a complimentary glass of sparkling wine.

The Toast & Taste menu was developed by brothers Chris and Jeff Galvin alongside executive chef Arturo Granato and their kitchen team. They explain it is designed to “champion exceptional cooking at an accessible price point,” while maintaining the standards expected of a Michelin-starred establishment. Diners will be served a series of five courses, beginning with snacks such as a Brick Pastry Sandwich with truffled ricotta and honey, and Duck Liver Parfait with Moroccan spices and pear chutney. The experience continues with dishes including Cured Mackerel with green apple, horseradish and hazelnut oil, and a main course of Slow-cooked BBQ Fallow Deer Shoulder served with king cabbage and anchovy bagna cauda, followed by a dessert of Wild Berries accompanied by chocolate gelato and macadamia. Optional supplements are available, among them a Dorset Crab Raviolo, Grass-fed Beef with celeriac gratin and a Baba au Tiramisu intended for sharing.

Galvin La Chapelle, which has held a Michelin star since 2011 and specialises in Mediterranean and French-inspired cuisine, is located in a converted Victorian school with vaulted ceilings in Spitalfields. The group also operates Galvin Bistrot & Bar in Spital Square and Galvin Green Man in Chelmsford. According to the team, the new offering is “a celebration not only of Galvin La Chapelle’s City AM Toast Awards success, but also of the restaurant’s ongoing commitment to making Michelin-starred dining more inclusive and approachable without compromising on quality or experience.”
