Marylebone Hotel unveils Functional Feels adaptogenic mushroom cocktail menu for January

On 1st January, The Cocktail Bar at The Marylebone Hotel will launch a new menu featuring adaptogenic mushroom extracts. The menu, entitled Functional Feels and developed in partnership with The Well Being Nootropics – a wellness brand based in London’s high-end medical district – introduces a range of drinks that combine organic mushroom extracts with traditional cocktail ingredients. It aims to offer an alternative for those seeking mindful drinking options at the start of the new year.

The collaboration brings together the hotel’s luxury hospitality and the Harley Street brand’s expertise in functional mushroom extracts, promoted for their potential benefits to mental clarity, calm and cognitive performance. Specific extracts have been selected for use in the drinks, which have designed to appeal to a wide range of guests rather than only the Dry Janaury crowd.

The use of adaptogenic mushrooms – such as lion’s mane, reishi, and cordyceps – has increased in popularity in recent years, particularly among those interested in wellness trends and alternative approaches to health. Adaptogens are substances believed to help the body manage stress and restore balance, although scientific evidence for some claims remains limited. The Functional Feels selection at The Marylebone Hotel incorporates these ingredients in a manner that aligns with both current wellness trends and the growing demand for non-alcoholic or low-alcohol options. It comes at a time when hotels and bars across London are exploring new ways to cater to changing consumer preferences, particularly as interest in health-conscious and innovative drinks continues to grow. The team explained, “The cocktail menu combines organic mushroom extracts selected for their research-backed properties with high-quality ingredients designed to support clarity, calm and cognitive performance.”
