Jean-Philippe Blondet, chef patron of Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester, will host an exclusive dinner in London on 25th February, welcoming Harry Maguire, the recently announced amateur winner of MasterChef 2025. The one-night-only collaboration will take place at the three Michelin-starred restaurant in Mayfair. It marks Maguire’s return to the professional kitchen following his victory on the 21st series of the competition, where he previously cooked alongside Blondet in an what has been described as one of the series’s most iconic episodes.

This collaboration brings together two chefs from very different backgrounds: Blondet, who has led Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester since 2016, and Maguire, a home cook who rose to prominence through his recent MasterChef win. The dinner represents a rare opportunity for members of the public to sample dishes prepared by both a celebrated professional chef and an acclaimed amateur. Organisers explain, “Together they will create a menu that celebrates both Harry’s experience and the philosophy of precision, provenance and passion which we champion at Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester.” The jointly created five-course tasting menu will be preceded by a champagne and canapé reception at 6.30pm.
