Diplomático Rum and The Beaumont Mayfair unveil late-night cocktail ritual

Diplomático Rum is partnering with The Beaumont Mayfair, London, to introduce Diplomático After Dark, a new cocktail experience running from the 5th of February to the 5th of April 2026. The initiative, developed in collaboration with the award-winning Le Magritte Bar at The Beaumont Mayfair, aims to offer guests a reimagined nightcap ritual, featuring four bespoke rum-based cocktails prepared tableside.

The event will take place within the setting of Le Magritte Bar, characterised by art deco interiors and central London location. The menu, curated specifically for this collaboration, comprises four cocktails designed as indulgent late-evening drinks. These include the Diplomático After Dark, a blend of Diplomático Reserva Exclusiva, Green Chartreuse, Amaro Averna, Antica Formula, chocolate bitters and orange zest; Golden Mirage, which layers Diplomático Reserva Exclusiva with amaretto, coffee liqueur and cherry; Bitter Velvet, combining Fernet Branca and orange zest for a complex profile; and Mantua Spice, a lighter option featuring Diplomático Mantuano, Benedictine, The King’s Ginger, ginger ale and cinnamon.

A distinctive aspect of the experience is the use of a dedicated Diplomatico drinks trolley, with cocktails prepared directly at guests’ tables by a butler. This approach aims to bring the performance and precision of the bar into a more intimate setting, allowing for greater interaction between staff and patrons.

Giovanni Dellaglio, Assistant Bar Manager at Le Magritte Bar, is credited with creating the cocktails. He commented: “Working with Diplomático has allowed me and the team the opportunity to experiment and create four unique cocktails using a selection of Diplomatico’s range. The theatrics of making cocktails in front of the guests at their table is different to anything we’ve done before, and provides a great opportunity to interact with our guests even more.”

Georgia Billing, Diplomático and Woodford Reserve Ambassador for Northern Europe, added: “We are delighted to be partnering with the exceptional team at Le Magritte to bring the Diplomático After Dark experience to life. At Diplomático, we deeply value collaborations with leading members of the on-trade who share our commitment to cocktail craftsmanship and community. This partnership not only celebrates our shared dedication to quality and expertise, but also empowers guests to make informed, inspired choices when it comes to their nightcap ritual. It’s exciting to unite two passionate and award-winning names in hospitality for a truly memorable experience.”

Diplomático Rum, first launched in 1989 and acquired by Brown-Forman in 2023, has established itself as a prominent name in the super-premium rum segment. The brand’s focus on blending and craftsmanship is reflected in this latest partnership, which offers a new option for those seeking a sophisticated conclusion to their evening in London’s West End.
