Bridgerton-inspired cocktails launched by British drinks brands for new season viewing parties

As the latest season of the popular period drama Bridgerton airs, several British drinks brands are offering themed cocktails for viewers to enjoy during their viewing parties. The new recipes feature products from Cotswolds Distillery, Pantalones Tequila and Renais Gin, which are all available for purchase from major UK retailers and online platforms.

The Cotswolds Distillery, based in the beautiful English region, has introduced a libation called the Wild Passion using its No 1 Wildflower Gin. The gin, which is distilled with botanicals such as cornflower, lavender, orange and rhubarb root, is described as having “floral elegance” and is combined with passionfruit syrup, lemon juice and either egg whites or aquafaba to create a smooth, foamy drink. The ingredients are shaken, first without ice to emulsify, then with ice to chill, and strained into a coupe glass. The gin has an ABV of 46% and is sold at a recommended retail price of £38.50 for a 70cl bottle. 

Ingredients:
50ml Cotswolds Distillery Gin No 1
25ml fresh lemon juice
25ml passionfruit syrup
15ml egg whites or aquafaba

Pantalones Tequila, a brand launched in 2023 by American actor Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves, has recently entered the UK market. Its featured cocktail, Hot Pants, showcases the Pantalones Organic Blanco Tequila, a 100% organic blue weber agave spirit. The drink is served over ice in a sea-salt rimmed glass and garnished with a pineapple wedge and jalapeño slices. The tequila has an ABV of 40% and is priced at £42 for a 70cl bottle.

Ingredients:
45ml tequila
15ml lime juice
60ml pineapple juice
7.5ml agave nectar
2 slices fresh jalapeño

Renais Gin, founded by siblings Alex and Emma Watson, has also released a special recipe called the Emma Spritz. The gin, made from upcycled wine-pressed grapes from their family vineyard in Northern France makes for a refreshing long drink. Renais Gin has an ABV of 40% and retails at £55 for a 70cl bottle.

Ingredients:
30ml Renais Gin
10ml dry white wine
20ml elderflower syrup 
20ml fresh lemon juice
80ml soda water

The cocktails coincide with the return of Bridgerton on 29^th January, offering themed drinks using British and international spirits.
